Dr Mark Dal Pra
Dr Dal Pra is an experienced ophthalmic surgeon and general Ophthalmologist with over 20 years experience. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who deals with a wide range of eye diseases including cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. He has a special interest in cataract surgery with great experience in performing these surgeries.
Academic Excellence and Achievements
Graduating from University of Queensland in 1985 with first class honours, he was awarded the University medal for academic excellence. Dr. Dal Pra’s ophthalmic training was undertaken in Brisbane and Sydney. He was the first Queensland Ophthalmologist to be awarded the KW Howson medal for excellence in his final ophthalmology examinations.
Dr. Dal Pra has worked at the Princess Alexandra hospital as a senior visiting eye specialist for over 15 years. He has a special interest in teaching, having been an examiner for the ophthalmology training program for 10 years. He retains an active interest in teaching and strives to provide his patients with the most up to date ophthalmic care.
